Closing a Chapter…As I’m sitting in Wichita – mid-transition – writing this, I’ve finished, more or less, the hard part of transition. Sure, going somewhere new with lots of uncertainty about what’s next and much certainty of rebuilding with relationships and assignments and even patterns of daily life, is not easy either, but the hard part is letting go of the place God has set us currently where we’re deeply invested, comfortable and at home, deeply loved and deeply loving in a God-given community.

I can’t say the goodbyes were easy, but I can say they were done in Christ, and they were beautiful.
